Beaches Torquay is a privately owned home we enjoy renting to people who wish to enjoy the delights of the English Riviera. The house is located in an enviable position on the seafront with promenade walking directly to the marina, harbour and town centre.
There is a bus stop located on the roadside outside the development and the main Torquay train station is less than half a mile away.
Walking distance to Preston, Torquay, Paignton or take the coastal walk all the way to Brixham and beyond. With a 15 minute stroll along the seafront, you will be at all the main attractions, restaurants, marina, harbour, bars, the big wheel (selected months) and shopping plus Torquay theatre which also shows fantastic London shows in the Summer season.
Walk a little further from Torquay harbourside and you will find lovely beaches of Meadfoot and further on toward Babbacombe and Maidencombe. The South West Coastal Path runs along the entire route and passes by Thatcher Rock and Hopes Nose, along the way.
Our home has a modern flavour with all the amenities and facilities you would expect from this lovely property. Plus its close to the sea, town and beaches.
Please check out the amenities list and photographs. We pride our selves on cleanliness and service.
Full Kitchen and all mod cons
You can cook light meals or even a full-blown Christmas dinner, all the utensils and white goods are supplied.
With so much traffic on the roads we know how difficult it can be to park. Beaches has its own private space.
In a world where everyone wants to be connected and the children want to have 100% up time, Wifi is necessary.

THINGS TO DO
Being on the South West Coastal Path means you can South to Paignton or North to Torquay centre and beyond, both taking in the sights and fabolous coastline and beaches
A perennial favourite and one the kids and adults alike will love. Running from Paignton to Kingswear and then across the river Dart by Ferry to Dartmouth. Also Xmas specials!
Eat & Drink
No trip would be a success without some great food. Torqua has some great restaurants and snack places too. Whether you want Michelin Star or Fish and Chips, its here!
With conservervation at the top of all lists then the local zoos and in particular Paignton are recognised internationally as top of their game and worth supporting. A small zoo in Shaldon and wildlife exhibits such as Living Coasts are also worth a visit.
The area is known for its safe beaches with a great selection depending on what you want. Gentle sloping with calm waters or something more focussed on rock fishing. We have it all. Stretching from Broadsands, through Abbey Sands to Oddicombe.
Too much to mention
We could write pages and pages on what to do. Dartmoor, cultural exhibits, adventure parks, water sports, historical locations where famous events have occured or where films have been made. Within a few miles there is so much.
“What can we say. Fabulous, ideal location, all mod cons and the sun stayed out for the whole holiday. We will be back!” George D.
